My contributions to policy and institutional reform have occurred through high-level placements in foreign and domestic governments.
I was an inaugural Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship (US Department of State) placement in cabinet of the Prime Minister of Haiti, in the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation. I worked on a task-force assembled by the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Planning, to help the unit that manages, monitors, and evaluates the work of NGOs operating in Haiti, to ensure they adhere to the policies of the Haitian Government. Later I worked on a team from the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences in collaboration with the Haitian Ministry of Agriculture, to improve all aspects of agricultural extension in Haiti through capacity building of human capital and infrastructure.
I also completed an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science and Technology Policy Fellowship placement in two different Executive branches of the U.S. Government. I served as a Gender and Social Inclusion Advisor in the Program and Strategic Planning office of the Global Development Lab (the innovation bureau) at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), where my work and research ensured gender integration and social inclusion across science, technology, innovation, and strategic partnerships in international development. I then concluded the AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellowship at the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)–another USG international development agency.
I was subsequently hired as an Associate Director at the Millennium Challenge Corporation, where I continue to work on policy and institutional reform across a diverse portfolio of countries.
